Our Roots
Paul Espenan grew up in New Orleans, learning to cook from his mother, an adventurous and creative family chef. As she prepared and served culinary delights from around the world, she used vegetables straight from the garden and challenged her children to try new foods. Inspired by his mother and the food of New Orleans, Paul has been growing fresh vegetables and cooking for his family for over 30 years. Paul brings this same enthusiasm for growing and cooking with fresh and pure vegetables to Bonverts. In 2021, the farm found a home in Denver, Colorado, and Paul’s sister Anne joined Bonverts. Together, they are growing enthusiastically and bringing you the cleanest, tasty, fresh vegetables, all grown right here. Starting with formal training in agriculture, Paul pursued his dream of making a difference and inspiring others through a long career in environmental science and safety. He has combined his training and life experiences into one: an environmentally conscious, sustainable, and clean local farm. For Paul, Bonverts is a dream come true. “I’ve always wanted to do something that uses all of my life experiences and fondest memories, and that is why I founded Bonverts.”
